Le arti marziali, come è ben noto, sono nate con l’obiettivo della difesa personale.
Tuttavia, le esigenze di auto-tutela di duecento o trecento anni fa non potevano essere le stesse che abbiamo oggi giorno.
Nell’antico Giappone l’arte di difesa personale civile “goshin” veniva distinta da quella militare “bu-jutsu” che doveva trattare la stessa materia ma da punti di vista diversi, considerando anche l’utilizzo delle armi da taglio e da fuoco.
