Changing habits: can you?

Often in courses for personal growth will require a change in habits. The classic example is that of smoking. The moment you decide to quit smoking habit must change.

But how can you change behavior? The simplest choice is to strive to incorporate the new habit in your life. And 'the more intuitive but also less effective.

You must know that all your custom creates synapses (ie the connections between neurons). These links are strengthened as they remain fixed with your habit. The moment you decide to change the habit, the synapses do not you remove the no.

Those are the very ones to remain and make it difficult to transition to the new habit.

But then how do you get to the new habit? The first step is to never give in to the temptation to reuse the old habit. Just once to ruin everything. These old synapses remain for a long time. We must wait for it to weaken and decay.

At the same time you have to train the new habit (to strengthen). And what is the best way to strengthen it? Taking advantage of the Alpha state. In this way the mind a greater chance of reinforcements.
